Portraits of a Capital 1950-1980, is Scott’s third book about the evolution of Jakarta’s physical landscape. The first, BATAVIA in Nineteenth Century Photographs, was first published in 2000 and is now in its fifth printing. The second, Greetings from JAKARTA: Postcards of a Capital 1900-1950, was first published in 2012.
